Project Awards to Organisations

Although the Trustees see their main purpose as the making of grants to individuals they support various prizes and awards such as the Alfred Fagon Award, the George Devine Award and the Pearson Playwrights Scheme. Each of these is managed by other organisations.

Awards to organisations have been made from time to time but these are not the first priority. When funds given to individuals allow, grants to organisations for the encouragement of new writing are made.

Organisations with limited needs (probably under £10,000) may apply for help for activities which seem to the Trustees to be appropriate. These activities will not ordinarily include simple commissioning or production costs and grants are only made for exceptional initiatives.
